Hey Everyone,
This is an exciting post, one that I know a lot of you have been requesting. When I first made contact with my birth mother in March 2020, I made clear in my post “Two Pages More” I was going to keep a lot of the details private. I chose not to share images and intimate details regarding my family in Korea. There was a lot to take in, I needed time to process the letters and the information it contained. Whilst I am not prepared to share some of the details, I feel as though it is only fair that I am prepared to meet you half way.
Knowing a lot of you have been on this journey with me for years and many know how much this means to me. I’m excited to share with you the most exciting part…. putting faces to names.
I’ve not only been overwhelmed by seeing what my birth mother looks like, but also by comments from other people. When I first started writing this blog I talked about those comments some of us take for granted from friends and family saying ‘how much you look like your mother or father’. I honestly did not think I was going to be in this position where people would be saying it to me.
What are your thoughts? Do you think we look alike?
